What is this Substack

My name is Joshua Sack, and this is my blog. I decided to create one soon after I started my PhD in economics, but between the effort of managing Hugo configs, GitHub actions, and server maintenance, I was not spending much time writing, which was the whole purpose. Therefore, I decided to just switch to Substack. I mostly write about politics, usually regarding economic policy, but not always. That being said, I plan to occasionally delve into all different topics, such as running, Liverpool, and coding.

Who am I?

I am current working on my PhD in economics at American University. Before that (and sometimes while I have been here), I have worked as an opposition researcher on Democratic campaigns at the national, statewide, and local level.
